Albania is becoming an ever more popular destination too with further rental firms moving into the country on a regular basis.
Tirana International Airport is located about 6 km outside the capital and as Albania's only international airport is the main gateway into the country.
As well as its growing appeal as a business location, Tirana is proving the gateway to all that Albania offers. The country is growing its reputation as a holiday destination. It has a typical Mediterranean climate and after a period of international isolation through its closed borders policy it is marketing itself as a little known and adventurous place to visit. The Adriatic and Ionian shorelines have numerous beaches, some of which look across to the Greek island of Corfu whilst there are also mountains and national parks such as the Thethi (Theth) in Northern Albania (pictured).
